Berber Farewell
Savor the ritual
dress. The beating
of the mannered drum,
the greeting begun in throat
turns to cave of mouth,
then slap of tongue
until the song sung
becomes one voice that
pierces skin of sky.
How good this way
to say goodbye,
the same to say hello.
